This will be our first participation at MIART from 4 to 6 April 2025 - Established Section - stand E 118 - E 120.

In partnership with the Archivio Luciano Minguzzi of Venice, we will be devoting a special focus to Luciano Minguzzi, a leading Bolognese sculptor who crossed the twentieth century with indomitable fierceness, arousing admiration and acclaim from the very beginning.

A accomplished artist, Minguzzi, who through drawing, colour and modelling was a vigilant and cultivated interpreter of the last century.

His œuvre bears visible evidence of the horrors of that period, centred on the Second World War, but at the same time transposes the testimony beyond a filter of controlled, rigorous creative wisdom in which images from even the distant past converge.

The aim of the exhibition at MIART is to restore the proper value and historical-artistic relevance to the entire oeuvre of Luciano Minguzzi.

For this reason, it was decided to alternate sculptures in bronze, terracotta, wax and wood with the intention of narrating Luciano Minguzzi's artistic journey from his beginnings in the 1930s to his Milanese period in the 1970s.
