TEFAF 2024 - Maastricht
We are very please to announce our participation at TEFAF - Maastricht.
This will be our fifth consecutive participation and our second in the Pictura section; our main specialisation.
For this edition we will be proposing a wide selection of works by Italian artists from the 16th to the mid-20th century.
A separate space will be devoted to a selection of portraits from the first half of the 20th century, including the fascinating portrait of violinist Giuseppe Vannicola by Oscar Ghiglia in 1911. Further interesting examples of Italian portraiture of the period will include works by Giovanni Colacicchi, Otto Maraini, Giulio Vito Musitelli and Nino Campese.
Great prominence will be accorded too, to the genius of anonymous artists, especially when they are of such outstanding quality and character, such as the fascinating canvas of Saint Sebastian Tended by Saint Irene, to which we have dedicated for the occasion the publication of a research by the specialist Tommaso Borgogelli, and the intriguing canvas datable to the 1930s by an unknown painter depicting a rare scene inspired by the rituals of Ancient Greece; Artists and Poets in Search of Inspiration at the Castalia Spring in the Presence of Apollo.
