Organic Flows: a solo show by Greta Affanni

Twenty artworks, including paintings and drawings, narrate the poetics of the young Tuscan artist, who has long since moved to Bologna, where she lives and works. Poetics mainly focused on the relationship between nature and sign.

The artworks carried out by Affanni are Organic Flows, the expression of a powerful nature, which manifests itself to our eyes without any imposition or constraint of expansion. They are signs, intelligible and not, that animate these works to the point of becoming a figurative expression of human action. They also invite reflection on the imperceptible, on the mystical dimension of a Nature that perpetually changes and evolves.

The outcome of all of this is translated into images that are abstract in appearance, but potentially figurative. They are ‘embryos’ - a term dear to the artist - in constant becoming.
